This virtual event launched a community challenge to pursue five MG-specific goals plus new resources to help.

MG Illuminate 2023 was hosted by community leaders, Alicia,* Vanetta,* Kathi* and Mike,* each of whom live with MG and guided the audience through Go for Greater, a community-wide challenge aimed to help achieve a greater everyday with MG. This MG Real Talks roundtable discussion provided tips for navigating MG treatment coverage. It featured Leah* and Tom,* who both live with MG, sharing their stories of trying to understand treatment and coverage options, plus guidance from a passionate patient advocate on how to overcome these challenges. The event also introduced an animated video that gives a simplified overview of how MG works in the body. It offers a new approach to explaining MG to help family and friends really “get it.” Watch it now and share with your loved ones!

Aiden-Lee,* a member of the MG community, shared a personal story of feeling unseen—and how he turned that experience into a teaching moment to pursue greater understanding and empathy for people with MG. And last, but certainly not least, the show concluded with the fourth annual landmark lighting with more landmarks lit in teal than ever before. In addition to spreading MG awareness, these lightings represented the start of the Go for Greater challenge spreading across the country.
